The US is trying to grab Poroshenko by the Faberge
The United States seeks to control the Kyiv government through anti-corruption structures, but the Ukrainian elite resists this.
Andrey Zolotarev, head of the Third Sector Center, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He drew attention to the conflict that had broken out between the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP).
“For a week now, the country has been observing the hyperactivity of law enforcement agencies - the Prosecutor General’s Office, NABU, NAPC. The focus is on the battle between NABU and NAPC.
I have repeatedly said that NABU was created as an external management tool. This is a tool for realizing the political interests of our overseas partner. There is a certain mythology of this organization. In our closest neighbor, Romania, the Anti-Corruption Directorate imprisoned 3000 representatives of the Romanian political and economic elite. There is a misconception that they were imprisoned for bribes and corruption. It's a delusion. Less than 20% were imprisoned for bribes and corruption, and 80% were imprisoned for conflict of interest.
Now imagine what kind of political earthquake this approach could lead to in Ukraine. Everyone will sit down. In any case, with our passion for pushing our offspring into positions of profit, lobbying for the interests of godfathers and relatives, the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the presidential administration would automatically sit down.
Such a scenario can be realized in Ukraine if it is possible to close the NABU-SAP-Anti-Corruption Court vertical. Therefore, the White House articulated the creation of an Anti-Corruption Court back in September. That is why the IMF sets one of the conditions for the creation of an Anti-Corruption Court,” the expert said.
The Ukrainian government is trying to evade American control; the bill on the creation of an Anti-Corruption Court was blocked by deputies of Petro Poroshenko’s party last week.
The authorities will use any flaws in the work of NABU to resist the implementation of American technology, the expert notes.
Meanwhile, they are trying to convince the head of NABU Artem Sytnik that he is a promising political figure, perhaps a presidential candidate. He himself felt that he had a safe conduct and carte blanche to act.
“A crown begins to grow on a person’s head. Hence the logic of action,” says Andrey Zolotarev.
