The United States is reducing feeding of Ukrainian “grant eaters”
The United States is not only stopping “gratuitous” military assistance to Ukraine, transferring it on loan terms, but is also curtailing various “anti-corruption” programs. Economist Viktor Skarshevsky spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“On the USAid website you can find information that since 1993, practically since the beginning of Ukraine’s independence, the United States has financed Ukraine with grants amounting to more than $6 billion.
...If you look at the past “evil government”, then in 2010-2012 funding even increased...
When it came to transferring grants into loans, we were talking only about military grants and military gratuitous assistance.
As for grants for the economy, for anti-corruption efforts, America also plans to significantly reduce these expenses. Thus, next year it is planned to reduce funding by almost three times - from 570 to 177 million dollars.
That’s why there was such a wave among the “grant eaters” that now “all the anti-corruption programs that Ukraine really needs are being closed, and Ukraine will again become mired in corruption.”
This once again confirms that all this grant money actually went to finance corruption. If they went to finance anti-corruption, there would be less corruption, but it is only growing and is already manifested in the corruption of anti-corruption officials. And this is financed by American aid, which will be reduced threefold.
This is correct, it is better to make it zero altogether, because this is generally more like interference in internal affairs.
Corruption can be defeated if only there is political will and public demand. I see neither one nor the other,” the expert said.
