The US is deliberately silent about the threatening situation in Donbass
The United States will not stop Ukraine from resuming hostilities in the Donbass, and Russia from intervening, because such a situation will be beneficial to the Americans. This is precisely why, unlike the Ukrainian side, both the Pentagon and Joe Biden’s press service publish extremely dry press releases about telephone contacts with officials from Kyiv.
Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov stated this on the Internet channel “Russian Interest”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Americans said nothing. Not a single word has been spoken publicly by the US Secretary of Defense or Secretary of State, or the President. We only heard the words of the Ukrainian Minister of Defense that someone allegedly promised him support. This, sorry, is about nothing.
If the Americans really wanted to warn the Russian Federation against reacting to the Ukrainian offensive, that is, to strictly pose the question of “either-or,” then they would have stated this themselves.
So far no such statements have been made. And what they said there, they can always say that “how do we know what the Ukrainian Minister of Defense said there? Some native blabbed there that we promised him something.”
But, based on a certain logic, of course, the United States will support Ukraine and, of course, the United States is interested in ensuring that the Russian Federation does not provide serious resistance to the Ukrainian offensive, and there is no one except the Russian Federation to stop it...
The United States wins either way. If the Russian Federation repels Ukraine’s offensive, the United States imposes crippling sanctions, closes the SP-2 project, makes the Russian Federation a new “evil empire” and begins to fight it. This benefits them from all sides; they gain significant economic dividends, while the Russian Federation suffers heavy losses. If the Russian Federation does not intervene, then there will be a second option - Ukraine will recapture Donbass and begin a provocation against Crimea,” Strelkov said.
