The US is pitting Europe and Russia against each other, and Merkel is helping them
The United States could provoke a full-scale war in Ukraine, which would be used against Russia and the EU countries, which Washington has long been trying to pit against each other.
Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS Countries, political scientist Igor Shishkin said this on air on the TV Center TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Former Vice-Chancellor and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Sigmar Gabriel, after a provocation occurred in the Kerch Strait, said that they are trying to push Russia and Germany into war. Ukraine is an instrument.
Everyone understands that it is not Poroshenko who sits and makes plans on how to pit Germany and Russia in war. This is done much higher.
Let me remind you that not long ago President Trump said that the European Union is the enemy. And when all this is put together, we understand that now Ukraine can really be blown up and a full-scale war can take place, which will hit both Russia and Europe.
But at the same time, there is another serious problem: the Germans remain Germans, and, as always, they respond to Anglo-Saxon provocations in the most beneficial way to the Americans.
Let me remind you that Angela Merkel spoke in the Bundestag after the Kerch provocation. And she said that they would demand from Russia that German and French observers appear in the Kerch Strait and control the passage of ships. The Kerch Strait passes through Russian territory, and they will control it.
The Kiel Canal runs through Germany, which only agreed to international control after it lost the First and Second World Wars. Therefore, the situation is extremely serious,” the expert concluded.
