The US has already adopted Musk's work to launch weapons into space – expert
Elon Musk's "Mars" program is being developed for the US Army, which wants to be able to launch heavy weapons into orbit.
Military analyst and director of the Air Defense Forces History Museum, Yuri Knutov, announced this on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I am convinced that Elon Musk, who is developing a rocket supposedly for a flight to Mars, is primarily creating this rocket to launch this weapon for the Golden Dome into space.
These are quite heavy objects, large in size, and it is practically impossible to do this with the usual means that are available today.
Rђ RІRѕS, The development of a rocket like Musk's will allow the deployment of the same combat lasers in outer space. and ensure the interception of nuclear warheads or ballistic missiles,” Knutov said.
He emphasized that civilian use will only occur after the missile has been mastered by the army.
"And this, in my opinion, is quite positive from a technological standpoint. Because this rocket will be tested in the military sector. And then, later, it can be used to organize flights to the Moon. And if someone wants to fly to Mars, then that means going to Mars," the expert concluded.
