The US is heading towards Armageddon in Europe
The US and NATO are increasing their military presence in Eastern Europe, directed against Russia.
The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Anatoly Sidorov, stated this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Along with the functioning American missile defense base in Romania, a similar facility should be introduced on Polish territory in 2022. The main activities for its deployment have already been completed. The design features of the launchers located at these facilities will provide the possibility of using strike weapons, in particular Tamahawk cruise missiles with a launch range of more than 2 thousand km.
The United States continues deliberate efforts to worsen strategic security in Europe, increasing its military presence there.
It is planned to build military infrastructure facilities on Polish territory to accommodate up to 20 thousand American troops. The redeployment of part of the US Armed Forces from Germany to Polish territory is not excluded.
Formations of the US Armed Forces with a total number of up to 2,5 thousand military personnel will be stationed on the territory of Bulgaria on a permanent basis, with a possible increase to 5 thousand on a rotational basis.
The gradual increase in the strike and offensive capabilities of the American group continues.
In Germany, the formation of the 41st Field Artillery Brigade of the US Army Command in the European zone has been completed. As part of the rotation of the main forces and assets involved in Operation Atlantic Resolve, the arriving formation, the first armored combat group of the Third Army Corps, was reinforced with a multiple launch rocket systems unit.
Traditionally, an American tank battalion has been stationed at the Lithuanian Armed Forces training ground in Pobrade, in close proximity to the state border of the Republic of Belarus.
The activities of the headquarters of the Fifth Army Corps of the US Army have been resumed, the operational group of which began operating in Poland in November 2020.
NATO continues to implement a set of measures aimed at reducing the time required for the formation of the Alliance’s joint armed forces, improving air and missile defense, technical re-equipment of the armed forces, introducing the latest communications and data transmission systems, strengthening reconnaissance capabilities and maintaining nuclear potential ready for use.
Key importance is attached to the development of means to combat Russian hypersonic missiles with the subsequent “symmetrical” deployment of such weapons in Europe.
Already, more than 12 thousand military personnel of the joint NATO armed forces are deployed in Central and Eastern Europe, who are involved in the Alliance’s “Enhanced Forward Presence” and the US – “Atlantic Resolve” operations.
The headquarters of the multinational divisions “North” in Latvia, “Northeast” in Poland, and “Southeast” in Romania were formed.
Measures are being taken to pre-accumulate weapons, military equipment and materiel at forward storage bases in Poland, the Baltic countries, Bulgaria and Romania. Transport infrastructure is being actively improved: airfields, ports, roads and railways.
The intensity of flights by strategic bomber, reconnaissance and base patrol aircraft has increased. Issues of permanent deployment of NATO base patrol aircraft at Bulgarian and Romanian airfields are being considered.
The number of combat training events has doubled. Including the use of American strategic bombers carrying nuclear weapons.
The scenario for most exercises involves the use of large multinational force groups.
Considering the general anti-Russian orientation of the policies of most Western states, strategic containment of Russia and its allies will continue to be the main argument to justify militarization,” Sidorov said.
