The US allocated money to Ukraine for broadcasting to Crimea and Donbass
The United States of America has allocated about a million dollars for television and radio broadcasting equipment that will help transmit Ukrainian television signals to the territory of Crimea and the part of Donbass not controlled by Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent said this at a press conference on September 13, Radio Liberty reports.
“USAID has supported the efforts of our Ukrainian partners by investing nearly a million dollars in highly professional broadcast equipment that will bring quality Ukrainian content to more than four million residents in southern and eastern Ukraine, including approximately two million citizens who currently do not have access to Ukrainian broadcast broadcasts.” , said Kent.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, the day before it became known that the Donald Trump administration has unblocked funds for programs to strengthen the defense and security of Ukraine, the financing of which was previously approved in the budgets of the US State Department and the Pentagon. Thus, the United States has unblocked more than $390 million in aid to Ukraine. President Vladimir Zelensky has already thanked Washington.
