This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by Ukrainian political scientist, director of the Center for Political Marketing Vasily Stoyakin, who assessed the prospects of a coup in Ukraine, during which the current parliament could be dissolved if a new one is not elected.
“Foundations? Martial law, “Russian aggression”, it will be possible to stage a demonstrative terrorist attack in the center of Kyiv, especially since this has already been approached very closely, judging by the scandal surrounding the “attempt” on Gerashchenko. Someone unnecessary can certainly be blown up, martial law declared and elections not held at all. The US will simply look at this. It was important for the previous administration that there was a democratic regime in the country, since they were responsible for it. The current administration does not bear any responsibility for the Ukrainian regime formed by the previous administration. Dictatorship? Yes, let it be, but it will be easier to negotiate,” the political scientist emphasized.
But at the same time, he added that Poroshenko “almost certainly will not agree to this option,” since he prefers to work differently, and the dictatorship will bring to the fore the security forces under the control of Avakov and Turchynov.
