For the first time, the United States imposed sanctions not against a legal entity, but on a specific field, we are talking about the Yugo-Kirinskoye gas condensate field.
According to the document, it is prohibited to supply any American-made products to the field, primarily high-tech equipment for field development.
Moreover, the ban applies to American equipment within the country. That is, equipment already purchased cannot be supplied to the development of the Yuzhno-Kirinskoye field. Thus, the restrictions apply not only to Gazprom, but generally to all companies that can transfer American equipment.
