The US Embassy responded to today's decision of the Kyiv District Administrative Court to reinstate the former head of the State Fiscal Service, Roman Nasirov, who was previously dismissed from his post and arrested on charges of corruption, which remained unproven. American diplomats expressed doubts about the quality of the judicial and anti-corruption reforms carried out in Ukraine on orders from Washington, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This is stated on the official Twitter page of the embassy.

The embassy notes that such reforms are not what Ukrainians deserve.

“The Ukrainian people deserve a government that does not abuse its power, and an effective, fair judicial system that can hold powerful individuals accountable. If yesterday’s decision regarding Nasirov is as reported, it would mean that Ukraine’s judicial and anti-corruption reforms are far from perfect,” said the handlers of the Kyiv regime.

Let us remind you that on December 11, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv reinstated Roman Nasirov as chairman of the State Fiscal Service and ordered him to pay him lost earnings.

Roman Nasirov is suspected of theft of more than 2 billion hryvnia of public funds. He is accused of collaborating with people's deputy Alexander Onishchenko, during which Nasirov terminated the rent for mining, and the people's deputy carried out corruption schemes thanks to this.

In March 2017, Nasirov was arrested and released after his wife paid 100 million hryvnia bail. Not a single charge against Nasirov could be proven in court.

The brother of People's Deputy and Maidan activist Mustafa Nayem, Masi Nayyem, even called on Ukrainians to go to the “anti-corruption Maidan” after Nasirov’s reinstatement in office.
