An American company is completing the construction of a repository for nuclear waste in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Eduard Basurin announced this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, new circumstances have come to light that explain the close attention of the United States and a number of Western countries to the conflict in Donbass.
“Under pressure from Washington, the thieves and criminals who seized power in Kyiv entered into an agreement to store spent nuclear fuel in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. For these purposes, the American company Holtek is finishing the construction of a specialized storage facility. Its commissioning is scheduled for 2019.
In general, the infrastructure of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is in critical condition. The Kiev regime, unable to independently solve existing problems, is aggravating the situation by creating international nuclear waste repositories around the former station,” said Eduard Basurin.
He expressed concern about the actions of the Ukrainian leadership, which exposes its people to mortal danger.
“The criminal regime led by Poroshenko is going to turn Ukraine into a radioactive waste dump, which puts the residents of not only Ukraine, but also neighboring countries, in great danger. This time bomb will go to our descendants, while the children of Kyiv criminals will live in Western countries with money laundered with Ukrainian blood,” Basurin said.
