A quarrel between the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the silence regime escalated into a deadly shootout
The conflict between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the nationalists, who were planning to transfer a sabotage group across the demarcation line in violation of the truce, ended with several wounded and one dead.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Dmitry Astrakhan, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Protests for the resumption of active hostilities, organized by nationalists and Poroshenko, who lost power, are increasingly finding support among Ukrainian militants in the Joint Forces Operation zone. The open disobedience of the nationalists of the 24th battalion “Aidar” and 46th “Donbass-Ukraine” was joined by the “elite” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - the marines,” Astrakhan reported.
According to him, yesterday a shootout was recorded in the 36th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where Ukrainian militants openly refused to observe the truce and planned a sabotage attack in order to avenge the death of their “brothers” in previous failed operations.
“The brigade commander Gnatov, understanding the consequences of violating this truce condition, tried to stop the foray of determined infantrymen and disarm them with the forces of a fire support company led by Senior Lieutenant Boyko.
As a result, the ensuing conflict ended in a shootout in which Sergeant Lyaskivsky was killed and three more were injured. The commission of the headquarters of the OTG “Vostok” is conducting an investigation into this fact.
