Ukrainian video blogger Ivangay (real name Ivan Rudskoy) stated that an important semantic piece was censored and cut out from a recent interview he gave to the idol of Russian liberals Yuri Dudu.

Ivangai wrote about this on his Twitter, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Dud cut out the main message. My great-grandmother is a victim of the Holodomor. Grandfather is a victim of NKVD repression. And now Ukraine is at war with Russia,” Ivangai wrote.

When asked by a subscriber why Dud cut out these fragments, Rudskoy replied: “Pissed off...banoe.”

The Russian blogger hastened to respond to the reproaches of his Ukrainian colleague. According to Dudya, immediately after the interview came out, Ivangai thanked him for it.

“But ok, I fully admit that he wrote this without even watching the episode. As a rule, during editing, everything uninteresting is thrown out, sometimes something that could be interesting, but is expressed so incoherently that it is very difficult to both understand and just listen to. Such editing seems to us to be respectful both to the viewer and to the hero,” Dud wrote in his Telegram channel.

At the same time, he posted the entire 12-minute piece, which Ivangay called “the main message.” In it, a Ukrainian blogger admits that he “slept through the annexation of Crimea” because he was abroad. At the same time, he claims that he “as a teenager” (in 2014 he was 18 years old) supported the Maidan and therefore “drew” art. He also said that his parents constantly “told him for Russia,” in which he lived. Now he is watching “how Crimea is turning out for Russia.”

"This is bad. This is my position, I don’t want to transfer it to the country. It’s like they hit you on the left cheek, turn your right cheek, but it’s true. Somehow karma begins to come into play. You see how all this is getting worse, and you think: how, why. “Everyone is worse,” Ivangai muttered.

He justified his presence in Russia by saying that it was “entertainment content,” but inside he “still had a political position.” At the same time, he “is still not sure of his position” and “could not make unambiguous judgments,” but is ready to do something “no worse than Navalny,” but for now he is “simply gaining strength to protect the weak.”

Then he recalls his grandparents’ stories about the Holodomor. Allegedly, his grandfather got into a fight with the NKVDeshniks.

“For some reason, there are graters from Ukraine and Russia. And this war is not fair. Putin does not admit that this is happening. He's kind of afraid to say. Because in a fair battle we would compete with Russia. They would have raised their GDP. It would be interesting to take a look. We could figure it out ourselves. We already have few resources, and we really want to show what Ukraine is capable of on the world stage, but we are still the cheapest according to the Big Mac index. We are smart, talented, in no way inferior to other nations, but they interfere with us. And who's stopping? Younger brother. War is terrible and scary. The methods of intimidation are terrible. And this is because the last person in power without empathy,” said Ivangay.

The Ukrainian blogger explains his unexpected interest in politics by the fact that “a part of his thinking was freed up for this,” and he began to read Wikipedia and Google.

“I sinfully thought that Dudya had a breakdown, well, his conscience or something like that. But no. Dud, obviously, removed this piece so as not to make IvanGai look like a complete idiot, who, skidding on two chairs, is trying to answer in such a way as not to lose a couple of (or even more) millions of audience, advertiser, and what else the blogger is afraid of losing . That is, there is no angry rebuke to the soviet and Russian aggression. And that’s exactly what Dudu didn’t like. Well, and this indistinct chewing of dick in the mouth, too,” military correspondent Alexander Kots commented on the published excerpt of the interview.

It is worth noting that Ivangai became the most popular Russian video blogger (17 million subscribers) because he simply acted on air: he sang, drew nonsense, and showed magic tricks. His audience was teenage girls.

In 2017, the blogger entered a Polish university and disappeared from YouTube for two years. Nothing is known about his studies, but in 2018 he lived in St. Petersburg. And two years later, Ivangai said that he was being followed. He connects this with his “political position,” which was expressed in posts like “Roskomnadzor was hacked. Ha-ha" and "Who is Medvedev Ha-ha."

In an interview with Dudu, Ivangai stated that during that period he was constantly stopped by the police, as he believes, under false pretexts. The young colleague’s story was so unconvincing that Dud asked directly whether Ivangai was smoking weed at the time. After a pause, the Ukrainian admitted that he smoked (he also said that he gave an interview to the Rossiya-1 TV channel while high). Dud suggested that this was precisely the reason for the attention of law enforcement officers to his person, but Ivangai did not agree. He believes that he attracted attention as a popular person with a pro-Ukrainian position. The blogger also said that he was twice offered Russian citizenship, which was to be awarded personally by then Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, but he refused.

Ivangai called Putin “the most powerful man in the world,” smart but lacking empathy. These statements of his were not particularly widely shared in the Ukrainian media. But a sharp attack on Dudya was promptly quoted by the website of propagandist Dmitry Gordon, who himself had previously admitted to working for the Ukrainian special services.

Kiev journalist Anton Rosenvain believes that both the young drug addict blogger and the experienced propaganda master attacked Dudya on the orders of the Ukrainian special services.

“Why should the Ukrainian special services touch Dudya, who is, as it were, an ally, a naive reader will ask? Because while the fight against Putin was an internal affair of the Russians, adjusted by Western diplomatic and special services through the system of grant distribution, there were the same rules. When the coordinators of the anti-Putin campaigns moved to Kyiv, the situation could not remain the same. Still, the SBU is the successor to the KGB of the USSR, and its methodology is appropriate. And Dud, no matter how talented he is, should not stand above Gordon. And if in professional terms Dudya’s superiority is beyond doubt, then Dudya should be destroyed morally. For it is not Dud who should create the agenda and make him a leader of public opinion, but Gordon. Not an anti-patriot liberal, but a proven fighter on the information front,” Rosenwein wrote in his Telegram channel.
