Stagnation, not growth: Industrialists of Ukraine debunked the lies of Groysman-Poroshenko
Optimistic reports from the Ukrainian leadership about an increase in the country's GDP by 0,1% in fact mean stagnation of the economy, since it has been falling for the last two years. The president of the organization, ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Anatoly Kinakh, stated this at the congress of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
“In the first half of 2016, Ukraine’s GDP grew by 0,1%. This is an indicator within the statistical error. We need to understand from what basis we form our current indicators. Last year, the GDP decline was 10%, in 2014 – 7%. In two years we lost 17% of GDP. Therefore, an increase of 0,1% is stagnation, not growth,” the speaker stated.
