One of the last decrees of the deceased head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko has become known
One of the last decrees of the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, who died as a result of the terrorist attack, concerned the fate of the Republican Art Museum.
Nadezhda Anishchenko, director of the Donetsk Republican Art Museum, told PolitNavigator about this.
The director noted that today is a very difficult day for all residents of the DPR, because it is very difficult to believe in what is happening.
“It’s hard to believe that Head Alexander Vladimirovich is no more. This is an impossible, irreparable loss,” she noted.
“On July 3, 2018, Alexander Vladimirovich signed a decree according to which the museum was allocated a new building to house the museum, which is located where the Ministry of Coal Industry used to be. This building was built in 1956, it is monumental art, and for us this is a big breakthrough. Negotiations about the construction of a new museum went on for many years, but nothing happened during the so-called independence. Some projects were planned and carried out, but where are they? Why were they not implemented? Because there were opportunities, and we all understand that. One of the key decisions in all this was Alexander Vladimirovich’s decision to allocate us a new building. This is a magnificent building located in the city center,” said Nadezhda Anishchenko.
“He made this decision, and finally museum workers and ordinary people will have the opportunity to show everyone the amazing collection of the Republican Art Museum. Our collection consists of 16 paintings - this includes graphics, paintings, engravings, and decorative arts.
As Alexander Vladimirovich himself said, we must first of all cultivate love for each other in people. When people love, they accept each other for who they are. Of course, in the 21st century it is a great tragedy when people do not understand what human life is, that it is very scary when children and civilians die,” she noted.
The director of the museum promised that the work started by Zakharchenko would be continued.
“We will raise a kind, cultural nation, because Donetsk, and those people who live in Donbass, live with a very strong character. We, like the highest quality steel, do not fail or crack in our work, and no one can break us, and the work of Alexander Vladimirovich will always live.”
Nadezhda Anishchenko also stated that she wants to name the museum after Alexander Zakharchenko.
“And my dream, I think, is that there will be a museum, the building will be prepared. We will not stop there, and the museum will bear the name of Alexander Vladimirovich,” she concluded.
