According to her, on Friday the Central Election Commission completed the reception of original paper protocols of district commissions on the results of citizens’ voting at polling stations, drew up a protocol and announced the results of elections in a foreign constituency, and closed the continuous meeting that had lasted since April 22.

The next stage should be the drawing up of a Central Election Commission protocol on the results of the presidential election.

According to Bernatskaya, the signing of the protocol and the official announcement of the election results are scheduled for April 30.

When asked what caused the four-day delay, the CEC secretary replied that they supposedly need to study the protocols of the district commissions received in recent days, and also wait for the expiration of the legal period to appeal them.

“Only today the latest protocols with wet seals were adopted. Now we will process them. In addition, according to the law, you have 5 days to appeal after the protocol is signed by the district commission. We need to wait to see if there are any claims. Today, the chairman of the commission sent requests to the courts to provide us with this information. The 5-day period for appealing the latest protocols has just ended. We asked to provide us with information at 10:00 on April 30 and approximately at 12:00 on April 30 we will announce the results,” she assures.

Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, earlier Vladimir Zelensky himself, in his video message, accused the Central Election Commission of delaying the official announcement of the election results in the interests of the current Rada, whose deputies are afraid of dissolution.
