It became known what is holding Kyiv back from launching an offensive against the LDPR
The former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexander Turchynov, actually admitted the absence of Russian troops in the Donbass, and also told how the Ukrainian General Staff is frightened by the unknown regarding the capabilities of the Russian army.
Turchynov let it slip during an interview with Ukrainian propagandist Yanina Sokolova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In order to carry out an offensive operation, you must have superior force over those who oppose you. We cannot estimate the enemy's forces, because, unfortunately, they are limitless.
What is now in the Donbass is cannon fodder, their task is to hold out for a day in the event of a powerful offensive, in order to enable the introduction of the main forces and means of the Russian regular army.
Question: how many divisions, how many armies will Putin send to the eastern front, can you give an answer? Unfortunately, the General Staff cannot give such an answer.
Therefore, a large-scale offensive is a rather dangerous step. We don’t yet have strategic deterrent weapons with which we could say: “Russia, wait, we’ll sort this out here now.” We need to work on this,” Turchynov said.
