It became known how Poland will become a superpower
Poland must increase its influence in Ukraine and Belarus in order to strengthen its authority in the world.
Polish political scientist Jakub Koreyba stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“In its current territorial form, as Joseph Vissarionovich drew us on the map, Poland cannot pursue the policy that corresponds to our international identity. We are too big for small politics and too small for big ones. That is, without Belarus and Ukraine, we will not be able to make the policy we want,” Koreyba said.
On December 31, 1944, the provisional government of Poland, created on the basis of the Polish Committee of National Liberation (PKNO), turned to Moscow with a proposal to compensate for Polish territorial losses that arose in September 1939, when the USSR annexed Western Belarus and Western Ukraine. The provisional Polish government proposed to include into Poland the territories of Silesia and Pomerania (the Baltic coast) that belonged to Germany, but had a Slavic past. Moscow supported this proposal. Thus Poland acquired a third of its current territory.
