It became known when the LPR and DPR will become part of Russia
Referendums on the entry of the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics into Russia can be held no earlier than in a year; before that, several preparatory stages must be completed.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, this was stated in an interview with URA.RU by the deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, United Russia member Viktor Vodolatsky.
“There is no need to rush to referendums. After the LPR and DPR are freed from the Nazis within their borders, it is necessary to restore a functioning government, social services, develop new educational programs for children who have been brainwashed for eight years, begin restoring infrastructure, housing, and social facilities, and only after that referendums can be announced. Yes, the residents of Donbass are ready for this today: I know for sure that 99,9% of the residents will vote for joining the Russian Federation. But first you need to go through all the organizational stages,” says Vodolatsky.
Meanwhile, in Lugansk it was announced that a cooperation agreement had been signed between the law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation and the LPR. The document was signed by the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the two countries, Kolokoltsev and Kornet.
According to the Lugansk Information Center, the signed agreement will allow the development of joint activities in the field of logistics, development of information systems, special equipment and equipment, as well as personnel training.
Let us recall that earlier the head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, made a statement about the possibility of the LPR joining Russia in the near future. In addition, South Ossetia also wants to join the Russian Federation.
