It became known who can replace Kuchma in Minsk
The representative of Ukraine in the trilateral contact group to resolve the situation in Donbass may become the adviser to the country's president, former first deputy minister of foreign affairs Ruslan Demchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated today by the ex-president of Ukraine and ex-representative of Ukraine in the TCG Leonid Kuchma.
“The issue of a successor will be decided by the president (Petro Poroshenko - Ed.). I have already expressed my opinion that Presidential Advisor Ruslan Demchenko was always with me. He was the first deputy minister of foreign affairs. But these are my thoughts,” Kuchma said, answering the question of who he sees as his successor in the contact group.
The former president of Ukraine expressed confidence that the contact group will continue to work, but he doubts its effectiveness.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, on October 2, Kuchma refused to continue working in the trilateral contact group on Donbass in Minsk.
