The “Trust in Deeds” parties of Gennady Trukhanov, “Vidrodzhennya”, some representatives of the “Our Land” party and people’s deputies of the “Will of the People” group are uniting into a single political force to participate in the parliamentary elections, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by the co-chairman of the Vidrodzhennia deputy group in the Verkhovna Rada, Vitaly Khomutynnik.
“Currently there are two parties - “Trust in Deeds”, “Vidrodzhennya”. There is “Our Land,” but not the whole party, but most of the authoritative leaders - people’s deputies Anton Kisse, Sergei Shakhov, local deputies, some deputies of the “Will of the People” group, simply self-nominated people,” he said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency "
The co-chairman of Vidrodzhennia noted that the congress of the united political force will take place before the end of May.
According to the politician, there is no decision yet who will lead the political force, but it is known for sure that the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov and the mayor of Kharkov Gennady Kernes will be among the top five of the party’s list in the parliamentary elections.
At the same time, Khomutynnik noted that the people’s deputies elected to the current convocation of parliament in majoritarian constituencies intend to be elected to parliament as majoritarians in the next elections.
“We already have more than 50 majoritarians who will run as majoritarians from the party,” he said.
The people's deputy added that the party's lists will include mayors, chairmen of regional councils, and people with authority in regions and cities.
“There is definitely already confirmation and agreement - these are the mayors of two million-plus cities - Kernes and Trukhanov, about 15-20 mayors of cities with 50-100 thousand people or more - Uzhgorod, Artemovsk, Kupyansk, Voznesensk and others,” he said.
