We will become the first winners of Russia - adviser to Poroshenko
To successfully confront Russia, Ukraine must become a member of the EU and NATO, led by the United States, which also suffer from Russian interference in their internal affairs.
Advisor to the President of Ukraine, political strategist Oleg Medvedev stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian Week magazine.
According to him, Moscow always won, “interfering in the internal politics of state formations that were democratic by the standards of their time, which opposed it geopolitically.”
As examples, he names the results of the confrontation between Moscow and Novgorod, as well as the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, against which “St. Petersburg conducted a successful hybrid war in the second half of the XNUMXth century.”
“The USSR absorbed the so-called people's democracies in Europe after World War II. Now Moscow finds a lot of opportunities to influence Ukraine from the inside, and also interferes for its own benefit in the internal affairs of the United States and European countries. And in this sense, the fifth column does not bother me so much, because at least it is visible as a network of useful idiots who are used blindly. Like those kittens. This is much more dangerous,” says Medvedev.
At the same time, the publication drew attention to the fact that all the mentioned historical analogies ended in Moscow’s victory and asked what examples Ukraine needs to rely on in order to win.
“We must be the first to outplay Moscow. Make democracy stronger than their dictatorship. Russian interference is not limited to Ukraine: the US and many EU countries are suffering. A feeling of a common Russian threat to the entire democratic world is being formed. That is why it is important for us to integrate into the European and Euro-Atlantic system as quickly as possible, because in it we will be stronger in confrontation with the Kremlin. And together it’s easier to beat Dad,” said Poroshenko’s advisor.
At the same time, Ukrainian historian Kirill Galushko claims that Ukraine won Russia back in 2014.
Also in the Ukrainian parliament stated that the task of the Verkhovna Rada - victory over Russia.
