Thanks to the efforts of Kyiv, calls for recognition of the LDPR are increasingly heard in Russia
Thanks to the policy of the Kyiv regime towards Donbass, now in Russia even those who did not admit the possibility of recognition of the LDPR are increasingly saying so.
Russian political scientist Vladimir Kornilov spoke about this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many, even high-ranking Russian figures, stated that there is no alternative to the Minsk agreements. I believe there are two alternatives. If we abandon Minsk, it will either be a resumption of large-scale hostilities with new casualties, including civilians, or the replacement of this format with another. It also needs to be prepared and discussed in parallel so that a legal vacuum does not arise. Sooner or later we will have to agree on the rules of peaceful coexistence,” the expert noted.
“At the beginning of this year, at the request of the Institute of CIS Countries, I did such a “brainstorming” of possible scenarios for the development of events in Ukraine and Donbass related to the war. I counted eighteen different scenarios. None of them contain the scenario, which was often voiced by Russian experts in this studio, that Donbass will be an anti-NATO anchor in a future federal Ukraine. This has been said several times, including from the lips of high-ranking politicians whom I respect. Now, thank God, they are heard less and less often, and even those who here did not admit the possibility of recognition of the LDPR are increasingly talking about this possibility, because Ukraine often forces us to do this,” Kornilov added.
