“Donetsk militants, together with Russian occupiers, occupied Starobeshevo, Donetsk region. The local hospital was destroyed. The wounded who were in this hospital were previously evacuated to Mariupol and Berdyansk,” said Andriy Lysenko, speaker of the National Security and Defense Council Information and Analytical Center.
“In the militia-occupied village of Starobeshevo, Donetsk region, by the morning of August 27, 129 Ukrainian military personnel and national guardsmen voluntarily surrendered. “During the night battles in the Donetsk suburbs of Avdievka and Yasinovataya, the Ukrainian army lost 25 people wounded and killed, as well as some military equipment - two armored personnel carriers, a tank, and a warehouse with ammunition,” says a message from the militia headquarters distributed on social networks.
As Navigator reported, earlier the commander of the Donbass battalion, Semyon Semenchenko, said that the capture of Starobeshevo poses a threat to volunteer units near Ilovaisk. “If the currently weak barriers on the Kuteinikovo-Starobeshevo highway harden, a second line of blockade appears, then this (Ilovaisk – editor’s note) will be a mass grave,” he wrote.
