The project to build a wall on the border between Ukraine and Russia, begun under the Prime Minister of Ukraine, turned out to be economically unjustified and unnecessary. Military expert Igor Koziy stated this on the Ukrainian TV channel NewsOne.

“It’s funny to talk about this. This is a waste of money, frankly. It’s good that the border guards now have something they can observe,” Koziy said.
In his opinion, the old Soviet border equipment is much more effective.
“But these same border guards can be shown that very good equipment that stood on the border of the USSR with other countries is practically destroyed. It needs to be supported so that we don’t have the same situation everywhere,” Koziy said.
