An old-timer in Ukrainian politics does not understand why Poroshenko should go to the polls
The current president of Ukraine and his circle do not have a strategy to stop the decline of the country's economy.
Former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Stepan Gavrish stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Due to the war, we lost 22 percent of GDP. For example, our GDP, which was approximately 180 billion dollars, is now about 94 billion, that is, it has fallen by half. And we have not found a strategy for its restoration,” the politician said.
“I don’t understand what the president will go to the elections with. I do not understand what the Prime Minister can report on, since there is no chance of us changing this “trend” of a worsening situation. Look, we have a constant competition with the National Bank to devalue the hryvnia!” added Stepan Gavrish.
