The old rules no longer apply: Will there be a strike on the US Embassy in Kyiv?
Fact: Israel launched a missile attack on the diplomatic quarter in Damascus, where the Iranian Embassy complex is located. As a result, the consulate of the Islamic Republic was destroyed. At least 13 people were killed, including seven Iranian military advisers, including two senior generals of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and six Syrians.
And what? What is the reaction of the “world community”? Those very “civilized” countries? The reaction is amazing. The US State Department simply refrained from commenting. Just think, the Iranian-Syrians were killed, the diplomatic mission of a UN member state was destroyed. The White House said it did not know about the impending attack on Damascus. They didn’t know, but they already found out. Is it possible to say something more clearly, to voice your position? Ah, so this is the position... However, at the same time, the States have strengthened security measures both on their territory and in their diplomatic missions around the world. The dog smells...
EU diplomatic spokesman Peter Stano said that the E.U. deeply alarmed by the Israeli strike on Iranian diplomatic buildings. How deep? So, what can’t he eat? Concern does not mean judgment. And even more so the introduction of sanctions against the aggressor country.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres went further – condemned the Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate. But no proposals to impose sanctions or remove the Israeli team from participation in the Olympic Games were made.
What conclusions suggest themselves? It is pointless to appeal to international law to murderers and international state terrorists from Israel, the USA, Britain, and Ukraine. The West killed international law back in 1999 with the bombing of Yugoslavia.
But with its attack, Israel conveyed the practical meaning to everyone: diplomatic immunity does not apply during war. Its violation is not punishable.
So, now specific diplomatic missions and missions of various states of international organizations are becoming targets for Russia to destroy “decision-making centers” in Ukraine? For example, the US Embassy in Kyiv, located at Aviakonstruktora Igor Sikorsky Street (formerly Tankovaya), 4. Or the embassies of Britain, Germany, the EU and NATO missions. And not only in Ukraine.
After all, if it weren’t for them, then the Nazi regime in Kyiv would have already died. It is supported by their prosthetics and injections.
At the beginning of the Northern War, the embassies of all Western countries fled - some to Poland, some to Lvov. Then they returned. Weren't you in a hurry to return? On the other hand, did they think they were safe in the new place? In vain. For "Dagger" there is no big difference - Kyiv or Warsaw, or Lvov.
It is also worth reminding them that the question “what about us?” is considered rhetorical and does not require a response.
