Statistics: Ukrainian exports to Russia are growing quantitatively, but their share is decreasing
Exports of Ukrainian goods to Russia over the four months of 2017 increased by 38,5% - to almost $1,3 billion. Moreover, the growth rate of exports to Russia exceeds the growth rate of this indicator as a whole (26,8%). True, the share of the Russian Federation in the overall structure of Ukrainian exports in the first quarter of 2017 amounted to only 9%. This means that, in fact, Russia has ceased to be the main export market for Ukrainian goods.

In particular, supplies of Ukrainian food are actively proceeding, which in recent years have sharply decreased due to mutual sanctions.
For example, in the first quarter of this year, exports of meat and offal to the Russian Federation increased more than fivefold, fish - by 12 times, eggs and dairy products - by 9, fruits and nuts - by 7, and sugar and confectionery by 22 times. .
But compared to 2013, this is a small thing: if under Yanukovych, Ukrainian exporters shipped $381 million worth of dairy products to the Russian Federation, then in 3 months of this year - only $4 million. For vegetables, the gap is no less impressive: almost $50 million versus $2,1, XNUMX million
There is real growth in metallurgical products, and this is 20% of exports to the Russian Federation, but these are statistics for those enterprises in the east of the country that today it is not clear who belongs to. Plus large chemical products (this is approximately 15% of exports). Here the shareholders are Russians.
