Having become accused in The Hague, Kosovo “President” Thaci resigned
After the prosecutor's office of the Special Court for Kosovo confirmed charges against the "president" of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, he resigned.
Thaci himself stated this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I cannot stand trial as president of Kosovo,” Thaci explained his decision. – For me and my family, this is, of course, a difficult moment... But no decision can change the course of history and refute the fact that Kosovo was a victim and Serbia was an aggressor. I ask you for prudence and urge you to preserve our unity.”
Today it also became known that Thaci’s friend and accomplice in terrorist activities, Kadri Veseli, gave up EULEX occupation mission in Pristina and will be sent to The Hague. And the day before, the press secretary of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UCK) Jakup Krasniqi was arrested in his own house in the community of Glogovac and taken to The Hague.
“Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli and other suspects are criminally responsible for approximately 100 murders. The victims included hundreds of identified Kosovo Albanian, Serb and Roma victims, as well as political opponents of the suspects,” the indictment says.
There was a time when the terrorist Thaci wore machine guns rather than jackets.
At the same time, there is a high probability that the Special Court for Kosovo was established by the West precisely in order to legally clear the former militants who are now the political elite of Kosovo. Previously, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia acted in a similar manner.
