A protégé of Ze-Office in the SBU was convicted of corruption and connections with Russia
The head of one of the departments of the SBU, Artem Shilo, has accumulated over ten years a large amount of property, the origin of which is difficult to explain by his official income.
This is stated in the Bigus.info investigation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noted that Shilo, who heads economic counterintelligence, owns two three-room apartments in the elite Novopecherskie Lipki residential complex.
His wife Irina owns a two-room apartment in the same complex. In addition, she owns a property with an area of 275 square meters in a club house in the center of Kyiv and several beauty salons. The family has several cars and a house in the cottage town of Zolochev, Kyiv region.
According to Verkhovna Rada deputy Geo Leros, expelled from the presidential Servant of the People party, Shilo is a protégé of the president’s office, and his income is evidence of corruption permeating the government.
“The 32-year-old lieutenant colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine is the head of the counterintelligence department of critical infrastructure and terrorist financing.
And Artem Shilo - who is also the creature of the deputy head of the office of President Oleg Tatarov, who, by the way, was present at his birthday - in a short year acquired property worth 160 million hryvnia. Apartments in elite buildings, private houses, office space, beauty salons for his wife - all this was stolen from him from the moment he became an adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine,” the deputy said.
“In addition, through his drivers and godfathers, he is closely connected with the Russian bookmaker 1XBET. Just imagine for a second, if this is a simple head of some department of the Security Service of Ukraine, then on what scale they p...d at the highest level,” Leros said.
