Steshin told how the “mosquito fleet” of Ukraine shrank
The flooding caused by the explosion of the hydroelectric power station caused great damage to the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Dnieper delta, and made the so-called “mosquito fleet”, which had long been assembled by Kiev, useless.
Military correspondent Dmitry Steshin stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“In fact, the Armed Forces members got it there too. After all, they occupied islands in the Dnieper delta, and they have now been washed away there. And our artillery yesterday helped them evacuate as quickly as possible from these islands. Customized, so to speak.
And plus the “mosquito fleet” that the Ukrainians collected, it shrank when the level of the Kakhovka reservoir fell,” said the war correspondent.
Steshin also emphasized that now motor boats and other watercraft could be very useful to Russian units fighting in those flooded regions.
“The guys there are fighting in the floodplains. In the Dnieper region, I think they will find [watercraft] very useful,” Steshin concluded.
