In an interview with the RT channel, Seagal accused the United States of not providing its citizens with a complete picture of Ukrainian-Russian events: “Comments on the crisis in Ukraine in America remain unheard.”
He is sure that the Americans are being painted completely implausible pictures of what is happening, in particular, Seagal is very doubtful about the information about the seizure of Ukrainian ships by Russia in the Black Sea.
“None of this is conducive to the real diplomatic relations that we need right now,” Segal said. – We need calm and people who would look at the situation as a whole – in the interests of Ukraine and in the interests of Russia. And not necessarily in the interests of so-called Europe.”
“Reputable channels continue to say that everything is exactly the same as when Russia attacked Georgia. Or maybe, finally, tell the audience the truth: wasn’t it Georgia that attacked Russia?!” – the actor makes an unexpected statement.
The British publication The Huffington Post, in turn, also quoted Seagal, who argued that “Putin’s desire to protect the Russian-speaking people of Crimea, its assets and the Russian Black Sea military base in Sevastopol ... is very reasonable.”
At the same time, the American added that he considers Putin “one of the great world leaders” and “would like to consider him as a brother.” And Seagal was not afraid to harshly call the US policy towards Ukraine “idiotic.”
