EU capitals will close for Zelensky – diplomat
If President Vladimir Zelensky turns out to be unable to implement the Minsk Agreements, the meeting in the Normandy Format will not take place and negotiations with Ukraine will cease, and a number of world capitals will become closed to the country’s leadership.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, I have a very bad feeling that Ukraine today has taken a position of disagreement with the EU on many issues. We are moving away from Europe very quickly today. If we take all the main directions, for example, such an important direction as the issue of a peaceful settlement in Donbass. We know that in the Normandy format there are two mediators - the largest countries of the European Union, Germany and France.
Today we are actually pursuing a policy aimed at disrupting the summit meeting. By the way, if this does not happen before the end of the year, then I think that, unfortunately, President Zelensky may become an undesirable person in Europe, few people will communicate with him...
It seems to me that after Zelensky takes this step that is absolutely destroying our statehood - abandoning the Minsk agreements, many EU capitals will be closed to us. And then we will go where we are allowed. And there are few such countries left,” Kozhara said.
Thank you!
