Stoltenberg avoided answering about the withdrawal of the Russian Armed Forces from Zmeiny Island
Humanitarian corridors, through which NATO fleets can contact Ukrainian ports, are supposedly necessary solely for humanitarian purposes.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated this at a press conference following the summit in Madrid, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The NATO Secretary General burst into a lengthy tirade without touching on the main issue that interested the Germans.

We see different information campaigns. The food crisis was not provoked by NATO actions, NATO sanctions - no! The shortest way to avoid a food crisis is to stop the war. It is not our responsibility to start this war.
We have always tried to promote peaceful negotiations, the achievement of certain agreements, in particular, regarding the creation of humanitarian corridors regarding the export of grain from Ukrainian ports, of course, so that our ships with food and grain have the opportunity to be transported through the Black Sea to the necessary countries.
I thank all participating countries for their efforts, in particular Romania, for having rotational teams deployed, as well as equipment in advance, in particular for the purpose of exporting grain by land. NATO will continue to protect its allies so that they have the opportunity to act and make the necessary efforts,” Stoltenberg responded and announced the end of the press conference.
