Stone: Wall Street decided to take over Russia
If it were not for Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia would have long ago become a vassal of the United States.
The famous American director Oliver Stone stated this in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The United States could have become a partner with Russia, they could have helped along the lines of the Marshall Plan, but this did not happen because of money. On Wall Street they decided that they needed to take over Russia and take over the business. All these oligarchs appeared. Putin began to resist this and defend the country. If it weren’t for him, Russia would have been destroyed and turned into a vassal of America,” the director said.
According to him, Washington needs an external enemy so that there is a reason for the work of its giant military-industrial complex.
“Why can’t they stop? Because there is a lot of money at stake. Money and deals. It's not about Russia. If Russia had not existed, another enemy would have been found,” Stonu is convinced.
At the same time, he believes that Russia and the United States could cooperate in many areas, for example, in the fight against coronavirus infection.
