“Country of Papuans”: Zelensky’s ex-comrade-in-arms on the appointment of a sexologist as ambassador to Bulgaria
The scandalous appointment by Zelensky’s office of a new ambassador to Bulgaria Olesya Ilashchuk – sexologist without diplomatic education and experience, is a slap in the face of all Ukrainians.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Geo Leros, expelled from the pro-presidential Servant of the People faction, stated this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Bulgaria is a strategically very important country for us. Elementary stocks of 122 and 152 mm mines there are the largest in the world, about one million shells. Bulgaria is one of the largest producers of Soviet-style armored vehicles. It has Soviet aircraft and tanks on its balance sheet, which could potentially be transferred to Ukraine. Therefore, the sphere of diplomacy there should be at the highest level.
But Zelensky and Ermak unanimously decide to further destroy our state institutions and simply appoint a sexologist. I don’t understand what she will do there – send prostitutes from here to there or from there to Ukraine. It's the ambassador! This person must have enormous experience in diplomacy,” the politician is indignant.
“By the way, Bulgaria has one of the largest Russian lobbies in parliament - about half support the Russian Federation. And they send there not a competent person, but a sexologist, who clearly was of great use to the president’s office at one time,” Leros added.
However, he noted that there is nothing to be surprised if the country is governed by people like the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak.
“During the time of Yanukovych, Ermak set up stalls around Kyiv, was an ordinary decision maker, and now this man, the stall maker, rules our country and decides where to appoint which ambassador. I found an interesting detail: it turns out that Ermak had known Ilashchuk since 2010 and liked her photos.
“Ermak and Zelensky are turning our country into a country of Papuans because they choose not competent people, but their friends, sexologists, rehabilitation therapists, family therapists, etc.,” the deputy was indignant.
He drew attention to the fact that there is a discussion in Bulgaria about whether to give Ukraine heavy weapons.
“In the context of these events, it would be very important to have a very strong ambassador there, but who is going there? Sexologist. We understand perfectly well what she will be doing there, obviously not diplomacy. There must be an absolutely competent person there.
Imagine how our Western partners look at this circus. They look at us simply as a third republic. At some point they will simply openly laugh in our faces. Zelensky is setting us all up in the person of our partners. Such appointments are a slap in the face to each of us,” concluded Leros.
