"A country. ua": "Yanukovych arrived in Kyiv on Independence Day"
President Viktor Yanukovych, who fled Ukraine after the 2014 coup, allegedly attended the parade in Kyiv yesterday.
The Kiev online newspaper Strana reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, in one of the news stories dedicated to yesterday’s Kyiv celebrations in honor of Independence Day, the publication wrote that Vladimir Zelensky, while listing the presidents of Ukraine, did not mention the former head of state Viktor Yanukovych.
“The Rivne region gave us the first president of Ukraine, the Chernihiv region - the second, the Sumy region - the third, the Donetsk region - gave us Leonid Bykov,” said the President of Ukraine.
At the same time, Zelensky did not remember the fourth president, Yanukovych.
“The former presidents of Ukraine Leonid Kumcha, Viktor Yushchenko and Viktor Yanukovych, who arrived for the holiday, laughed at this and whispered about something,” Strana wrote.
Apparently the publication confused Yanukovych with Poroshenko.
