Strange “pro-Russianism”: Dodon is being asked to close the PMR representative office in Moscow
Representatives of the Socialist Party of Moldovan President Igor Dodon are convincing the Russian authorities to cancel permission to open a representative office of the unrecognized Transnistrian Republic in Moscow.
The President of Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselsky, stated this at a press conference in Tiraspol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Moldovan side simply wants to deprive us of the right to defense... Officials of the Socialist Party, those who now occupy a high position, at a meeting with Russian leaders raise the question of revoking the registration with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation - the registration of our representative office. Do you understand? Socialists. This is a strange friendship, a strange pro-Russian attitude,” said the head of state.
Krasnoselsky emphasized that the PMR representative office is primarily concerned with protecting the rights of citizens.
“We protect citizens. They don’t come to their embassy, they come to us for protection. We provide support. And here there is a bad trend. I will remind you of the events of 91, 92, I will remind you who started the war here. Former communist or not, I don’t know, but they definitely didn’t say goodbye to their party card. They started a war, killed our people,” the president said.
“The representation platform was created, among other things, for this purpose, to speak out loud about the war crimes that took place here,” he emphasized.
“I plan to visit Moscow in September, meet with fellow countrymen there, with compatriots who also want to play an active role in the fate of Pridnestrovie, although they are now in the Russian Federation. I have already said that we would be glad to have the opportunity to open a similar representative office in St. Petersburg and other cities,” the head of state announced.
