Strange American strike will increase Assad's rating in Syria
A demonstration began in the center of the Syrian capital in protest against the night missile attack by the United States and its allies on the outskirts of Damascus.

“We are in the center of Damascus. People with flags on the square. There are many cars with flags and national songs driving through the streets. By this they express their indignation and contempt for the aggression of the United States and its allies,” Belik said.
The author of the “Major and General” Telegram channel, positioned as close to the security forces, predicts that the American strike will lead to an increase in the popularity of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
“Typically, fire planning in an operation involves striking critical targets. These are elements of the control system, enemy air and missile attack means (primarily nuclear), state infrastructure facilities, etc.
But! If you are Anglo-Saxons (with the support of the Gauls) and are guided by your strange logic (punish for uncommitted crimes, scare, take revenge, etc.), then it is quite difficult to explain the choice of exactly those objects that came under attack. Some mythical objects for the production of chemical weapons (more precisely, objects could be real, but have nothing to do with the production of chemical weapons).
In short, this was an attempt at some kind of “educational” (largely anti-Russian) action that did not have a clearly formulated goal (except for moral pressure on Russia and Syria).
How the Syrians reacted - we see it now on the streets of Damascus - I think Bashar al-Assad’s rating has increased sharply. Operations against militants continue. Chemical weapons were not destroyed because they were not there - they were all taken away.

In general, in my opinion, apart from the disposal of expensive missiles and the consumption of the engine life of ships and aircraft, no more results were achieved during the strike,” notes the author.
