Schengen countries are increasingly refusing visas to Ukrainians

As European Pravda reports, in 2014 Belgium refused every tenth Ukrainian applicant.
In general, the refusal rate for Ukrainian applicants at the Belgian consulate was 9,54%. Quite high (although less than that of the Belgians) is the refusal rate in Sweden (4,57%), Switzerland (4,56%), Finland (4,55%), and the Netherlands (4,28%).
Overall, 16 of the 22 Schengen states with consulates in Ukraine have increased their refusal rate.
The record holder is Finland, which increased the number of refusals by 3,3 times. In addition, the number of refusals of visas to Ukrainian applicants also increased at the Swiss consulates - 2,8 times; Spain (2,6 times); Portugal (2,2 times); Greece (2,1 times).
At the same time, in 2014, all Schengen countries increased the percentage of multiple-entry visas issued to Ukrainians: at the end of the year, 52,4% of all visas issued in Ukraine were multiple-entry (in 2013 the figure was 39%).
As PolitNavigator reported, Schengen consulates have started revoking visas for hotel booking cancellations.
