Western countries will decide the fate of Ukraine themselves
The issue of introducing a peacekeeping mission into Donbass is causing more and more controversy among politicians. The Ukrainian side should voice its vision regarding this problem as quickly as possible, otherwise Western countries will solve everything without its participation, which will lead to the most unpredictable consequences.

Nikolay Sungurovsky, director of military programs at the Razumkov Center, said this on the air of the “Politics UA” program, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I personally have a positive attitude towards the very idea of introducing a peacekeeping mission in Donbass. I always warn that this must be a holistic and complete solution. What I mean? Now for some reason everyone is focused on military issues, on what territory the mission will be located on, with or without the participation of the Russians. And the most difficult question fades into the background. This is the question: “How will Ukraine get there?” The mission is, of course, good. Let’s assume that everyone has persuaded Russia, deprived it of its veto power, and a decision has been made to introduce a mission. So we carried out this very mission. How will Ukraine get there after it? After all, the mission is, let’s say, neutral forces that should treat both sides of the conflict equally,” the expert said.
He also noted that Ukraine must personally present its vision of this problem, otherwise it will be spelled out without its participation.
“The version of the mission presented by Russia is quite rough and represents the general outlines of the mission. If we are talking about resolving the conflict, and not about freezing it, then the mandate itself should be appropriate and it should end with elections in Donbass, in particular. How the displaced will take part in the elections remains to be seen. If they are returned, how? How will their property rights be restored and protected? Through the courts? Tell me, is there a judicial branch there? The same judicial power and law enforcement agencies that exist there, they were engaged in squeezing out this very property. This is precisely one of the tasks of the mission,” concluded Sungurovsky.
