Kiev military expert Alexey Arestovich stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian TV channel Zik, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The architecture of these exercises is aimed at the Suwalki corridor. This is a nightmare for Poland, the Baltic countries, NATO and the EU. Russians work with the fears of their opponents. The transfer of efforts from the northern border of Ukraine to the northwestern border of Belarus should not reassure us. This is still a question of stability in Eastern Europe,” Arestovich said.
As Politnavigator previously reported, this year NATO conducted 5 exercises in the Baltic region to practice aggressive tasks against Russia. The ground component is being built up on the territory of Poland and Lithuania under the pretext of protecting the Suwalki corridor, and tasks for striking the Kaliningrad region are being practiced.
