Ukraine’s strategic position will worsen – Korchinsky

Thus, on the air of TV channel 112, the ex-leader of UNA-UNSO Dmitry Korchinsky stated that in this way Moscow is planning the “occupation of Belarus” for further advance to Kyiv, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to him, for Ukraine the danger of the upcoming exercises is that it is only a few hours from the Belarusian border to Kyiv.
“Moscow’s rhetoric and politics are becoming more brutal, and they no longer consider it necessary to hide anything. We always expect that it will somehow resolve itself... You will continue to push Moscow until we or they fall apart. There is no doubt that Moscow plans to occupy Belarus in one form or another, not only Ukraine... Belarus has no access to the sea, and these air defense bases could also be the base for the occupation of Belarus, which will happen soon. This will certainly worsen the strategic situation for Ukraine, since Kyiv is very close from the Belarusian border, and an attack on Kyiv is quite possible at the next step,” Korchinsky said.
“Unfortunately, we do not take part, and will not take part in Belarusian events. We have no one there to support, we have no one to provide assistance to - political, military or financial. This is very bad and it seems to me that we urgently need to deal with the near border.”
