Today Ukraine was once again attacked by Russian kamikaze drones from the southeast and north.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“On the night of December 29-30, the enemy attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made kamikaze drones Shahed-131/136. A total of 16 Shaheds were released, which attacked Ukraine from the south-eastern and northern directions. To overcome the air defense system of Ukraine, the enemy tried to use the Dnieper riverbed.
All 16 kamikaze drones were destroyed by the forces and means of the East and Center air commands, as well as air defense units of other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces say.
The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko also commented on the attack.
“According to information from our air defense forces, 7 kamikaze drones were heading towards Kyiv. 2 of them were shot down on approach to the capital, 5 over Kiev. As a result of falling debris in the Goloseevsky district, windows in a residential building and in one non-residential building were damaged. There were no injuries,” Klitschko said.
Ukrainian public pages published a video of an attempt by Ukrainian security forces to shoot down a drone in Kyiv.
The voice of a woman can be heard behind the scenes, commenting on what is happening with a three-story obscenity.
“Trash! Fireworks in Kyiv were launched in the courtyard under the windows. It happened in the Darnitsky district on Trosyatnetskaya Street. The woman’s comments behind the scenes are top,” writes the anti-Russian propaganda telegram channel Trukha.
