“The Kramatorsk company, with the support of two restored engineering vehicles, attacked the checkpoint between Kramatorsk and Slavyansk and inflicted heavy losses on the enemy. The checkpoint itself was not captured due to the fact that artillery batteries began laying barrage fire from Karachun, and our strike groups were forced to retreat. But the enemy's losses are quite large. Two machine gun nests were destroyed, two AGS positions, two armored vehicles were destroyed, heavy losses, according to my estimates, 15-20 people killed and seriously wounded,” he said in an interview with Lifenews.
“As before, a large amount of artillery is concentrated around the city. You saw yesterday's shelling, when again civilians were killed. Residential buildings were hit again. There was a lot of infantry. Moreover, according to our data, the enemy is driving conscripts here. That is, the National Guard does not appear against us in our forward positions. Apparently they are saving them for more important matters: for purges, for punitive actions. And the junta is driving here ordinary Russian, Ukrainian guys, young people, called to put them here, to fertilize power with their bones, to hold them,” Strelkov said.
“There is evidence that the enemy is preparing local attacks in the hope of capturing at least part of the city after artillery bombardment and declaring victory. We are preparing countermeasures, we are ready to fight for the city and we are confident that we will repel enemy attacks,” the militia leader is confident.
As Navigator reported, in Western Ukraine people are going out to protest en masse - blocking military registration and enlistment offices to prevent military personnel from being sent to the ATO zone. According to relatives of those mobilized, people are often sent away without proper uniforms and who have not undergone training.
