Strelkov declared a state of siege and curfew in Donetsk

“The Minister of Defense of the proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Igor Strelkov signed an order to impose a state of siege in the city and mobilize strategically important resources for defense needs,” the press service reports. This decision, the DPR leadership believes, “in the very near future should have a positive impact on strengthening the combat capability of the DPR army and the defense capability of the entire Donetsk People’s Republic.”
On July 16, martial law and a curfew were introduced in Donetsk, the press center of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) reported. “In order to avoid various excesses and preserve the life and health of civilians, as a measure to strengthen law and order, the militia command is introducing martial law and a curfew in Donetsk,” says the message signed by the commander of the DPR militia, Igor Strelkov.
The curfew is in effect from 23:00 to 06:00 am.
