Strelkov denied participation in the elections in Sevastopol
Former Minister of Defense of the DPR, head of the Novorossiya movement Igor Strelkov denied rumors about his possible move to Sevastopol and plans to run for the Legislative Assembly.
In a comment to PolitNavigator, he said that the information that appeared in the press the day before that he could head the Sevastopol regional branch of the Party of Deeds was not true.
“I am not a member of the Party of Causes; firstly, and secondly, I have not received any proposals, either official or unofficial, from the Party of Causes.
It’s no secret that I have contacts with representatives of the Party of Deeds, but this has nothing to do with Sevastopol specifically.
In addition, I believe that deputies of Legislative Assemblies and similar legislative institutions should preferably be local people who know the specifics well, specialists in public utilities and other areas of city life who understand the issue.
But it would be unpleasant for me to just sit there in order to obtain some kind of status,” Strelkov said.
Let us recall that information about Strelkov’s Sevastopol ambitions was published by the local news resource ForPost, as well as the First Sevastopol TV channel.
