Strelkov reprimanded those rejoicing at Aksyonov’s information about Zelensky’s apartment in Livadia
The wife of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, for whom the apartments in the elite residential complex "Emperor" near the royal palace of Livadia near Yalta, regularly pays utility bills according to Russian rules.
The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Aksenov did not rule out that Zelensky plans to flee to his penthouse on the peninsula if he is in danger in Ukraine.
“Mr. Zelensky, his wife, is still the owner of property on the territory of the Republic of Crimea. There are no debts on utility bills, which means that he pays the “occupiers” actively and calmly, without any embarrassment. He keeps it, they say, in case he has to seek political asylum from us...
The apartment is registered in the name of the spouse, as expected, and is the payer of utility bills. I think that if he has to flee from Ukraine, then where should he run? Flee to Crimea, ask for political asylum. I think this is the only way out,” Aksenov said.
Ukrainian political scientist Taras Berezovets has already called the information voiced by Aksenov a “scandal.” “I wonder how Zelensky manages to do this?” – Berezovets was indignant.
“So, according to Russian laws, Zelensky’s wife pays utilities to the Russian budget for an apartment in Crimea? Has the SBU opened a case? These funds are used to buy cartridges that are used to shoot at our heroes,” Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy sarcastically comments.
“Zelensky himself does not believe in the return of Crimea, which he has said more than once on stage. At the same time, property in Crimea is not sold or renounced demonstratively - as a sign of protest. This means he expects to come after his presidency. If he doesn’t become persona non grata by then. Russia also has personal sanctions against Ukrainian politicians. Paying for utilities won’t help here,” says Senator Alexei Pushkov.
But ex-commander of the Donbass militia Igor Strelkov, on the contrary, considered the information voiced by Aksenov offensive. He called for counting “how many defenders of Novorossiya, crippled in battles against respected Kyiv partners,” have real estate on the South Coast. Strelkov called outrageous the information that “the family of an open and arrogant enemy of the Russian Federation calmly owns property” in Russian Crimea.
