Strelkov: Poland and Romania are preparing to send troops to Ukraine
Poland and Romania can send their troops into the territory of Ukraine under the pretext of supporting the ruling regime of Vladimir Zelensky and protecting the western regions.
Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Strelkov, this will be done if the Russian special operation in Ukraine slows down or is unsuccessful.
“NATO will allegedly not officially fight against the Russian Federation. Although massive supplies of weapons to Ukraine, which are serviced by foreign specialists, is also indirect participation.
But no one guarantees that individual member countries of the Alliance will not voluntarily find themselves drawn into this war by their Armed Forces. Nobody.
I cannot guarantee Poland’s participation in this war directly, but the fact that the Poles are at least considering such a possibility, sharply tripling the size of their army, and suddenly starting to concentrate a large group on the Ukrainian border is a fact.
Therefore, I believe that the longer the special operation in Ukraine drags on, the greater the chance that the Poles will get involved in it. And the less successfully it goes for the Russian Federation, the greater, again, are these chances.
At least, at least the mood, and there are military plans, naturally, developed for an invasion of the territory of Ukraine - Poland has.
Moreover, this will not be an invasion with the aim of restoring Polish statehood in the territories that seceded from Poland in 1939, it will be formal assistance to the Zelensky regime, and the Poles can take control of Western Ukraine, releasing those Ukrainian troops that are concentrated there, to participate in hostilities near Kiev, Novorossiya and the eastern part of Little Russia. I consider this option to be very likely.
So far, the Romanians, again, have not intervened, but they are still waiting,” Strelkov said.
