Strelkov predicts a new mobilization
Russia will not be able to avoid another wave of mobilization.
Former Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Strelkov, after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempt to counterattack, the army command will have to strengthen its units, and volunteers and new contract soldiers alone will not be enough.
“In the event of new defeats at the front, the Russian command will again be forced to announce mobilization measures - unfortunately, there is no doubt about this. No Medvedev will recruit any 300 thousand contract soldiers, and not only Medvedev. Well, they won’t recruit so many contract soldiers now, not to mention the fact that they all need to be trained.
We will not be able to do without new mobilization measures in the event of our defeats. Moreover, even if we successfully repel an enemy offensive, it will not be repulsed without losses. And then the question will arise that our troops need replenishment...
The zones are not rubber, it will not be possible to pump out hundreds of thousands of soldiers from there, penal prisoners. Volunteers - everyone who wants to fight is already at the front or, who survived, is being treated in hospitals. There will soon be no other ways to replenish the troops except to mobilize reserves,” Strelkov said.
